Its been pretty boring the last few days. We’ve mostly been driving. But the last couple of nights we pitched camp at a campsite in Calakmul called Yáax’che. It was dirty. No running water, no showers, and minimum grade Bio-toilets. They had a “Luxury Restaurant” which composed of a cheap plastic folding table, and some plastic lawn chairs. The food was excellent though! El Tacos fueròn muy muy delícioso. The ground was comfy and not rocky but the damp ground made everything sticky. But what made everything better was a couple named Melissa and Karl who are from Oregon on their make-up honeymoon. Without them being their we would not have had such a good time.

Well, Joe, your description of the campground makes me remember why I have always hated camping. However, meeting the couple from Oregon is a really good thing–travel experiences are all about the people we meet, methinks. Love, Nannie.
Joe: what’s a “make-up” honeymoon? sounds like something I might need at times…
They were going to get married earlier in the year but she broke her ankle so it was all post-poned
What is Tacos Fueron other than muy, muy delicioso?
